In order to combat the higher prices of strip door material many suppliers have gone to what we call a G spec.  G spec material is the result of some extruders modifying their dies to produce under-size, under-weight material.  I.E., 8" x .080 G spec material actually measures 71/2" x .067.  The G spec material is approximately 20% under "Full-Spec".  The general feeling is that the customer will never know the difference.
